From the Tenderloin to the Five Star
I had an amazing weekend! On Saturday! My friend KT and I went all over San Francisco taking photos of anything and everything. KT is a much better (and more experienced) photographer than I am and I'm learning so much from her. As far as specific photos go, I'm learning how to find beauty in the simple things and making normal, everyday items look spectacular.
Here are a few shots from Saturday.

The City by the Bay
I'm in San Francisco until June 4! I'm taking part in the Not For Sale Academy here to fight human trafficking. My goodness, it's proving to be an amazing experience and learning time for me. I hope to come home with great resources to fight human trafficking at home. Check out the Not For Sale website to learn more. Notforsalecampaign.com

This last photo is an ode to my little friend who lived with me (lived in me) this time last year. I will not miss him and I will forever thank apple cider vinegar that he's not around anymore.

SSP Band - they're pretty awesome
For the record, I've got a pretty amazing boyfriend. He's the band director of the SSP secondary school - yeah, pretty cool. On Saturday, he put on an amazing concert. I was asked to take a few photos.
(The boyfriend's the dashingly good-looking one who's conducting)

So, for his upcoming concert, Andy (the boyfriend) invited a guy to play the didgeridoo for a song Andy wrote that the band would play by ear. He was gracious enough to ask me to take pictures during a rehearsal. How could I say no?
(May 27 - the day of the concert)
(I bet half of you don't even know what a didgeridoo is)
